The Command of EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced on April 13 that the claims in certain media in Serbia about EUFOR intending to arrest the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, were senseless and without any grounds.

"The recent claims in the newspapers in Serbia – 'Srpski Telegraf', that EUFOR would arrest the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, for corruption are senseless and [represent] a completely ungrounded story," EUFOR has stated, adding that it remained committed to supporting the authorities in Bosnia in securing a safe and stable environment for the country's population.

A "Despot" armored vehicle has been deployed in front of the government of Republika Srpska (RS) since the early morning of April 13, with members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the RS Interior Ministry. Security measures have been raised to the highest level because the police, as the Interior Ministry has stated, had received information from partner services about the possibility that the safety of the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, and his family might be in jeopardy.

It was stated that the threat came "from a particular group" and that the measures would remain in effect until all the facts pertaining to this information are completely verified. Dodik has said that he was informed at dawn that his safety might be at risk and stated that he was not afraid and would continue performing his job.
