Five Die of COVID-19 in Serbia, 516 Newly Infected

Five people died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, while 516 were confirmed to be newly infected with the coronavirus that causes the disease, a May 9 post on the covid19.rs website announced.

According to official records, 9,787 samples were tested in the same time frame. There are 319 patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19, and 16 of them are undergoing mechanical ventilation.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic, 16,033 people in Serbia have died of the disease.
