The three-day elementary school graduation exam started in Serbia on June 27 in fewer school buildings than before and with increased security measures due to bomb threats that have been frequent over the last few months.
Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic told public service RTS that procedures had been defined and all options for carrying out the final exam regularly had been prepared. As for the level of security of the tests, Ruzic said it was "the highest possible."
Elementary school students are taking their final Serbian and mathematics tests and a combined test at 522 out of the total 1,260 schools. The number of schools where the exam is taking place has been reduced for security reasons, due to possible bomb threats.
