The Greek army could purchase the Tamnava multiple rocket launcher which has a range of 70 kilometers and is being developed by the Serbian Jugoimport-SDPR public company and has already been ordered by the Cypriot army, the Balkan security network website has reported.

The website said in an article on July 7 that a prototype had been developed and that the national guard of Cyprus had ordered a battery of six rocket launchers. "The subject of Greece purchasing Tamnava has now been opened. This is why a delegation from Belgrade visited Athens a month ago to present its offer and the subject is now being analyzed by the Greece ministry of defense and army," it said.

The website recalled that Cyprus had bought 24 self-propelled Nora B52 howitzers and that its experience with the weapon had caught the attention of Greece. "Training for the 24 howitzers on the island is being conducted dynamically and regularly, and Greek officers have been coming to target practice where they were able to witness the precision and functionality of the Nora-52," it added.

Greek intends to gift Ukraine with a portion of its RM-70 multiple rocket launchers on its islands in the Aegean Sea and will need to replace them with weapons whose range and firepower is better, paving the way for Serbia's Tamnava.
