The president of the New Party – Ask the Professional, Vladimir Kovacevic, assessed on July 13 that, for economic reasons, Serbia should tie its European path to a fixed term of 24 months, and then reconsider it in detail.

"More and more things affect us each day, because none of the economic stability factors are standing still, except the euro-dinar exchange rate, which will also be costly in the long run. We must ask ourselves whether we should follow the undermined European economy, or seek partners in new geographical locations," Kovacevic said in the statement.

He believes that the EU would become even more disunited in the forthcoming months and that the Union's members would each turn to their national economies, and that the values it had taught to the entire world would "remain as a matrix for peacetime conditions only."

He recollected that the New Party – Ask the Professional was advocating the urgent forming of a government of experts and not politicians, because "now is not the time for improvising with economically inexperienced people, or for amateurism."
