According to the 2022 ranking of countries according to military strength published by the website Global Firepower on Aug. 8, Serbia is the most powerful among all countries and territories in the region and shows the potential for further increase in strength.
Of the 142 countries and territories included on the list, Kosovo took 140th place.
The annual report ranks countries based on a number of factors – from variety of weapons and available manpower to geographic location and financial power – all to determine which nations dominate the world in terms of military strength.
Serbia was deemed most powerful in the region with the potential for increase and holds 61st place on the list.
Croatia was ranked 62nd, Bulgaria 67th, Montenegro 132nd and North Macedonia 135th, while Albania took 115th place.
