The vice president of the Peoples’ Party, Sandra Raskovic Ivic, has stated that she would not be surprised if the spring of 2023 brought the formation of a cabinet comprising all parliamentary parties – an idea she says has been proposed “by many.”

Speaking for the Aug. 24 edition of the Nova daily, Raskovic Ivic claimed that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has so far refused to make any decisions on introducing sanctions against Russia – or regarding Kosovo – because, as the head of the party dominating both Parliament and the previous Cabinet, he would then bear sole responsibility for said decisions. According to her, the formation of an all-inclusive administration would enable Vucic to “share responsibility.”

Raskovic Ivic reminded the paper that her party had requested a special session of Parliament to determine a platform and a framework for the negotiations on Kosovo and Metohija. “Our first question to Vucic is: What platform are you using to discuss Serbia’s most important political and national issue?” said Raskovic Ivic, who is also a member of the National Assembly of Serbia.

Asked what makes Milos Vucevic and Ana Brnabic appropriate candidates for prime minister of Serbia, Raskovic Ivic responded that “their main qualification is obedience.”
