The census of population, households and dwellings has not been completed in all towns by Oct. 31 as earlier planned, and will be prolonged in these towns for one to seven days, the Serbian Statistical Office has said.
According to the Office, “not all citizens have been counted in certain towns,” and therefore it has been decided to prolong the census in certain municipalities in Belgrade, and also in Uzice, Valjevo, Smederevo, Pancevo, Sabac, Novi Sad, and Subotica.
The census started on Oct. 1, and was completed in most places on Oct. 31. The census engaged around 15,000 enumerators, who had been trained by the Statistical Office, who were filling out answers to 69 questions.
As earlier announced by the Statistical Office, first census data will be available in a month.
