A Belgrade-based lawyer, Cedomir Stojkovic, established with like-minded supporters an alliance of citizens “October” to curb hybrid operations carried out in Serbia by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s regime.
“The Putin regime has been using its agents to prevent the development and democratization of Serbia, and it’s entry into the European Union (EU). This struggle is a necessity, and we are urging everyone to join it,” the Group “October” said in a press release.
They added that “Putin’s servants” in Serbia “have been driving wedges in Serbian society, spreading hatred and encouraging a rise of fascism.” “The Group ‘October” identifies Vladimir Putin and all his servants in Serbia as Serbia’s enemies, and the enemies of all its citizens,” the group went on to say in the release.
The “October” added on its website grupaoktobar.org that it had adopted a manifesto to identify the most pressing problems in society, as well as the priorities of its actions. “Fighting Vladimir Putin’s regime in Serbia is a vital patriotic act,” the group proclaimed.
