A majority of North Macedonia’s citizens are not happy with the country’s foreign policy regarding developments in Ukraine and do not approve of sanctions the country has imposed against Russia, shows a survey conducted by portal MKD.mk presented on Nov. 23.
Answering the question whether North Macedonia was conducting a wise foreign policy in relation to events in Ukraine, 51.2 percent of the polled replied negatively, 25.7 affirmatively, while 23.2 percent of the polled said they did not know.
A large portion of the surveyed, 62.8 percent, do not support economic sanctions imposed by Skopje against Moscow, 19.5 percent support, while 17.7 percent of the respondents said they “do not know.”
A large majority of North Macedonia’s citizens, 70.9 percent, do not support supplying Ukraine with arms of the North Macedonian Army, 19.5 percent back this move, while 17.7 percent of the surveyed replied they “do not know.”
