Finance Minister Visits Saudi Arabia

Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali met in Riyadh on Nov. 30 with the acting general director of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, to whom he presented Serbia's economic results and potentials for investments. They also discussed possibilities for a more expansive cooperation between Serbia and Saudi Arabia.

"We have presented Serbia in the best possible light, cooperation potential is great, especially the interest in investing in infrastructure, energy, agriculture," Mali said after the meeting, as quoted by the Finance Ministry.

Mali announced that representatives of the Saudi Fund would visit Serbia within the next month. "That will be the next concrete step after today's (Nov. 30) talks. The wish is to show them everything we have discussed, for them to see in person the great investment possibilities offered by Serbia," Mali stated.

With this meeting, Mali began his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, during which he is also scheduled to meet with the country's ministers for tourism and finance. During the visit, he is to attend the 22nd Global Summit of the World Travel & Tourism Council.
