Barricade Kosovo (BETAPHOTO/SASA DJORDJEVIC/EV)
A group of some 50 people blocked the Merdare administrative crossing in the direction from central Serbia to Kosovo late on Dec. 27. In northern Kosovo, the barricades set up by Kosovo Serbs on Dec. 10 still remain.
The Serbs are also still at the new barricades in North Mitrovica, erected during the night between Dec. 26 and 27.
After raising the combat readiness of the army and police to the highest level, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited Serbian Armed Forces units near Kraljevo and Raska in the evening on Dec. 27, accompanied by Defense Minister Milos Vucevic and Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Petar Petkovic, and talked with Kosovo Serb representatives.
