Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) has called on the Belgrade Police Department to, in accordance with the Law on public gatherings, prohibit and prevent holding of a rally, which a Neo-Nazi group titled Zentropa Serbia has announced for Saturday, Feb. 4.

“We demand from top public officials to clearly condemn the gatherings which glorify Nazism and anti-Semitism, spread racial hatred and celebrate those who collaborated with Germans during occupation in World War II,” YIHR said in a statement on Feb. 2.

YIHR further said that “intensified attacks on anti-fascists in Serbia, particularly in Novi Sad and Nazi and anti-Semitism slogans written on the Jewish cemetery in Belgrade on International Holocaust Remembrance Day were only the latest results of the bond between denying local collaborators’ accountability for the Holocaust and today’s violence of profascist groups.”

Neo-Nazi organization Zentropa Serbia has announced that its supporters will gather at the corner of the Simina and Kneginje Ljubice streets in Belgrade at 6 pm on Feb. 4, to mark a death anniversary of Milan Nedic, the prime minister of the puppet government in the German occupied territory of Serbia during World War II, it is said in the statement.
