Migrants (MINISTRY OF INTERIOR)
The police, in cooperation with the Gendarmerie, have discovered 194 illegal migrants in the territories of the Kanjiza and Novi Knezevac municipalities, it was announced on March 1.
According to the Police Department Kikinda, the operation has been carried out “within ongoing work on the suppression of illegal migration, with the engagement of the Working Group for the fight against human trafficking and irregular migration, formed on the order of the interior minister.”
“The police will continue with regular controls of the migrants’ dwelling and movement in order to preserve the safety and security of all citizens, as well as the migrants themselves,” the statement reads and goes on to say that the migrants would be transferred to the reception center “where they will be provided with adequate accommodation.”
