Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will on Thursday, April 13, meet with the government officials and political representatives of the Kosovo Serbs to discuss the situation in the province, Office for Kosovo and Metohija Head Petar Petkovic said on April 11.

“We will also discuss political conclusions we need to make, and to see how we will be acting in the coming period,” Petkovic told TV Prva.

Speaking about the opposition representatives who had walked out of the April 10 meeting of the Parliament’s Committee on Kosovo and Metohija, Petkovic described the act as “hypocrisy” and “disgrace,” noting that he was intending to speak about the EU agreement on the path to normalization between Serbia and Kosovo, but the opposition representatives did not want to hear his speech.

According to Petkovic, this act proves that “the opposition does not care” about how the Serbs live in Kosovo and that “no one knows what they wanted,” noting that the entire event had been staged to make the meeting of the Committee on Kosovo and Metohija pointless.

Petkovic also said that the session was held behind closed doors because it presented a report on the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, which contained “highly confidential information,” including Serbia’s intentions in regard to the dialogue.
