On May 16, Pristina and Belgrade will continue discussing practical aspects of the Agreement on the Path to Normalization of Relations between Kosovo and Serbia, under the auspices of the EU in Brussels.
Following one-on-one meetings of each side’s head negotiator with EU Special Envoy Miroslav Lajcak, the next step are direct talks between the delegations headed by Petar Petkovic and Besnik Bislimi.
The focus of the negotiations is the Community of Serb Municipalities. Ahead of the May 16 sit-down, Lajcak publicized his visits to Pristina and Belgrade last week, saying he discussed the further execution of the Agreement, signed Feb. 27, and its Implementation Annex, signed on March 18.
The envoy also expressed his expectations that the negotiators will be ready to decide on concrete steps in applying the Agreement.
