The gates to Novi Sad’s EXIT music festival – held at fort Petrovaradin – will open at 7 p.m. on July 6 and the organizers expect over 200,000 visitors over the course of the event’s four days.

Promising to create “a unique, historic event,” EXIT’s management has partnered with the Committee for Space Program Development, an internationally-recognized local organization specializing in developing small satellites, with a plan to make this year’s EXIT the first festival in the world to open from outer space.

According to the event’s website, all four-day passes have sold out and online purchases are no longer available, but one-day tickets can be bought at the gates.

Founded in 2000, EXIT is one of the largest music festivals globally. This year, 40 stages and performance zones have been set up to welcome over 1,000 artists from the country and abroad. The event closes on July 9.
