According to Bosko Obradovic, the leader of the right-wing Dveri movement, “the consolidation and unification of the Opposition in Defense of Statehood exemplifies political maturity and commitment,” and if Serbia’s pro-Western opposition takes the same route, voters may be more inclined to actually vote in the upcoming elections.
In a statement for the Oct. 5 edition of the Nova daily, Obradovic announced that Dveri and the Oath Keepers have already reached an agreement on pre-electoral cooperation, which, he believes, is only the beginning “of a great national congregation where anyone for whom Serbia comes first is welcome.” “I believe our alliance will be joined by other parliamentary and non-parliamentary political parties, patriotic associations and prominent public figures,” Obradovic stated.
He further expressed his expectation that this “unified block of patriots” will be “the second strongest political force in Serbia” following the elections.
Asked about the possibility of cooperation with the Serbian Progressive Party or the Socialist Party of Serbia, Obradovic responded that “there is no cooperating with an undemocratic and criminalized regime.”
