Crta Reports 41 Percent Would Vote for Serbia against Violence Coalition, 49 Percent for Regime Parties

The coalition of parties rallied around the Serbia against Violence protests would get the votes of 41 percent of citizens, while 49 percent would vote for the coalition led by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, according to an opinion poll by the Crta observation mission whose results were published on Oct. 16.

At the upcoming elections, Crta said, ten percent of respondents would support "the right opposition bloc" -- Dveri (Doors), the Oath Keepers, the New Democratic Party of Serbia and the Kingdom of Serbia Renewal Movement.

The logistical organizers of the Serbia against Violence protests are the Freedom and Justice Party, the Free Citizens' Movement, the Movement for a Turnaround, the Democratic Party, the Green-Left Front - Don't Let Belgrade Drown, the Together party, the People's Movement of Serbia and the Ecological Uprising.

The ruling Serbian Progressive Party is allied with the Socialist Party of Serbia, Unified Serbia, the Movement of Socialists, the Social Democratic Party of Serbia, the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia and others.

According to the poll, conducted between Sept. 23 and Oct. 5, almost half of respondents, or 47 percent, believe that Serbia is going in the wrong direction, while 38 percent feel that the country is on the right path, the report noted.

The economic situation is Serbia's biggest problem according to 29 percent of citizens, while 23 percent cited Kosovo as the greatest issue.
