Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Beijing on Oct. 17 had a meeting with a member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China, Wang Huning, after which the two countries signed several bilateral agreements in the fields of economy, infrastructure and telecommunication.

Serbia and China signed agreements on building several roads in Serbia, exports of apples and modernization of the landline telephone network, state public broadcaster RTS has reported.

The most important agreements relate to the construction of a highway linking Belgrade, Zrenjanin and Novi Sad and procurement of five high-speed electric locomotives.

During his stay in China, Vucic is scheduled to meet with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and attend “The Belt and Road” forum.
