The Serbian Army is taking precautionary measures and preventive actions to increase the security of citizens, buildings and institutions, in line with the conclusions reached by the National Security Council, the Ministry of Defense announced on March 26.
According to the announcement, there is also an increased "presence of military police patrols in squares, parks and streets of major cities, in shopping malls, at train stations, the Belgrade Fair, and other busy locations."
During the weekend of March 23-24, after the terrorist attack in Moscow, the National Security Council assessed the security situation in Serbia and deemed it stable. According to the Council, there is no information of any threat of terrorism in the country, but all state bodies will take precautionary measures and actions to prevent that possibility.
