It is too late to meet the elementary conditions for "somewhat" fair elections that would take place on June 2, opposition New Democratic Party of Serbia leader Milos Jovanovic said on April 19.
In a statement for the Danas newspaper, Jovanovic said that, as far as he was concerned, the opposition's demand that all elections take place at the same time in the fall still stood.
When asked whether that meant his party would boycott the June 2 elections, he replied that it meant "[putting up] a fight and active resistance."
Parliament speaker Ana Brnabic announced on April 18 that all local elections, for the Belgrade Assembly and in other towns and municipalities, will be held on June 2.
