The European Commission has secured EUR90,000 in humanitarian aid for the people who suffered in the floods in Serbia, the EU Info Center announced on June 26.
The money is intended for the Red Cross of Serbia, which will supply those in jeopardy with drinking water and food, hygiene and household supplies. The money will also be used for psycho-social support, home repairs and assistance in cash.
The humanitarian aid is intended for 7,650 people in 13 municipalities in central and western Serbia.
Due to heavy rainfall, Serbia was affected by floods on June 3, which jeopardized a total of 11,650 people in 20 cities and municipalities in central and western parts of the country.
