Independent MP Zarko Korac has said that the political views of Self-Determination leader Albin Kurti are more extreme than those harbored by the majority of Kosovo citizens and that his election is primarily a form of protest against corruption in Kosovo.
"He is a clear sign that people in the region have had enough of thievery and robbery. The fall of the previous Macedonian government can be interpreted in that way, too. Initial reactions in Serbia show that in their euphoria over the election of the Serb Ticket, the authorities have completely overlooked the fact that they will get much tougher Kosovo negotiators, which the West will be even less able to influence than it has done so far," Korac told daily Danas.
He added that "paradoxically, both Serbia and the West are currently against Kurti."
