Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said that “four to five” countries will revoke their recognition of Kosovo by the end of the year.

Commenting on U.S. Special Representative Matthew Palmer’s statement about possible imposition of sanctions against Serbia over the procurement of Russian arms, Dacic has told TV Happy that there is no ground for sanctions, noting “we are not stupid not to know what is allowed.”

Commenting on reports about his contact with Movement of Free Citizens leader Sergej Trifunovic and his alleged readiness to cooperate with the opposition, Dacic said that such allegations were aimed at “crushing Serbia’s resistance in relation to Kosovo.”

“It is an irrelevant topic. Who is Sergej Trifunovic to have me answer to him? I have not seen Dragan Djilas (one of the opposition Alliance for Serbia leaders) since I assumed the ministerial post. Obviously, that entire front is focused on crushing our resistance in regard to Kosovo and Metohija. They have been working against President Aleksandar Vucic, not against me, but it is less risky for them to attack me than Vucic,” Dacic noted.
