The question is why would Serbia not recognize Kosovo if the conditions for Serbs to return to their homes are met and their rights are respected, and the questions of property, the position of the Church, the protection of cultural heritage, which is priceless, and other important everyday subjects life are discussed, Movement of Free Citizens leader Sergej Trifunovic has said.
In an interview with the Vreme weekly he said that the situation in Kosovo could not be solved by denial, that he did not want to "lie to the people with whom I live with because that is popular" and stressed that "lying has become an accepted way of acting."
"We are 'killing each other' over a territory in which less and less people want to live in, and by that I mean Serbs and Albanians equally. These are real questions and this has to be the main thought of all state officials who are dealing with or will deal with the question of Kosovo in the future," he stressed.
Speaking on Self-Determination president and front-runner for the post of prime minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti, Trifunovic described him as an educated, principled and sharp man "who looks like someone whome they can't bribe, blackmail or scare."
