The Fund for Insuring Deposits has released a statement, saying that the one-time reimbursement of deposits of up to EUR30,000 for physical persons would be available as of when they commenced, Makpress has reported.

Depositers will have 36 months or three years to be reimbursed. After this deadline expires, depositors, or their heirs, who were prevented from exercising their right to compensation for various reasons will be able to receive compensation from the Fund for Insuring Deposits.

According to the Macedonian Vesti website, representatives of damaged citizens at a meeting with Prime Minister Zaev and Deputy Prime Minister Bitiki requested that around 800 families and 2,000 companies be reimbursed first from the Eurostandard Bank’s bankruptcy estate.

They have asked the government to help them as soon as possible because these citizens and businesses will soon have to face bigger problems.
