Prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by the consumer price index, in September were 1.4% higher on average than in August, according to Monstat data.
In September, consumer prices were 16% higher on average than in the same month last year.
Rising prices in the groups of clothing, milk, cheese and eggs, vegetables, shoes and other footwear, fruit, meat, hairdressing services and other personal care services, and solid fuels affected the monthly inflation rate the most, says Monstat.
