A rally under the slogan "Serbia of Hope", organized by the Serbian Progressive Party, will be held outside the National Assembly building in Belgrade, in the evening on May 26.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has invited all Serbian citizens to, as he called it, a rally for the future which will show the country's unity in difficult times.
According to Vucic, it will be a rally for a more decent Serbia, even of those who vote for the opposition but view things differently.
In his words, the event is not a Progressive party rally nor a counter-rally to the opposition "Serbia Against Violence" protests, because it is the only one scheduled for Friday.
A new, fourth "Serbia Against Violence" protest is due to be held on Saturday, May 27. The protests have been gathering thousands of citizens demanding changes in the society after two mass murders, at a Belgrade elementary school and in villages in the Mladenovac area.
