Based on 93 percent of votes counted, five political parties have passed the threshold for the National Assembly, Electoral Commission president Vladimir Dimitrijevic said on Dec. 18, adding the three minority parties have also won mandates.

Speaking for the RTS public service, Dimitrijevic said that the results are based on 7,725 of the total 8,273 reports filed by polling stations throughout the country. So far, the incumbent Serbian Progressive Party’s ticket, titled Aleksandar Vucic – Serbia Must Not Stop, has won 47.4 percent of votes, while their political ally, the Socialist Party of Serbia, has received 6.63 percent of votes with the Ivica Dacic – Prime Minister of Serbia ticket.

The opposition coalition Serbia Against Violence has garnered 23.14 of votes.

The NADA coalition, comprising the New Democratic Party of Serbia and the Movement for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Serbia, won 4.98 percent of ballots, while Branimir Nestorovic’s We – The Voice of the People ticket received 4.66 percent of votes.

The three minority parties that also won seats in Parliament are the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians and two Bosniak parties.

In response to Serbia Against Violence’s claims of election fraud in the capital and calls for protest, Dimitrijevic stated that the elections “are still ongoing” and that “no one should pressure the institutions executing the elections.”

The official recalled that the deadline for submitting election complaints is 72 hours after polling stations have closed and that, should the elections be repeated at certain locations, this will take place within 10 days of the decision to repeat being passed. The final tally of the snap elections, he said, will be “known in 2024.”
