The president of the Serbian Progressive Party, Milos Vucevic, said on March 27 that Serbia’s next government would be a government of continuity and that the "backbone, or rather the cornerstone" of its political action was the program "Leap into the Future - Serbia 2027", and that the "ambience" in which Serbia found itself had not allowed the party to focus solely on the establishment of a new cabinet.

"The new government must bring new energy, new faces, new optimism and a new will to fight for Serbia together with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the National Assembly," Vucevic said for the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS). He said that the outlines of the new cabinet will be visible in a week, or perhaps, 10 to 15 days, explaining that due to the "ambience", the emphasis had been on other issues – including Serbia’s security in the wake of the terrorist attack in Moscow, the abolition of the Serbian dinar in Kosovo, as well as other pressures Serbia had been exposed to.

Vucevic, also the Minister of Defense, said that Kosovo was the biggest security risk for Serbia, explaining that the so-called Kosovo Security Forces were "arming themselves,” warning also that a process to form an army is underway in Kosovo.

Regarding the terrorist attack in Moscow, he said that the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia had been ordered that military police should patrol public areas in central Serbia, and that military intelligence services had been given new tasks.
