Vice-president of the Movement of Free Citizens Ana Oreg called on April 25 on all opposition parties to change their decisions and participate in elections in all cities because, she said, she believed that victory was possible as despite electoral fraud, the opposition had won in several districts in elections in Belgrade on Dec. 17.

She told N1 TV that it was good that the entire opposition would run in elections in Novi Sad, especially because elections there were last held in 2016, stressing that participating in elections did not by any means mean giving up the struggle for better electoral conditions.

"The Serbian Progressive Party did what it wanted in the city, sold the city to investors, and we learned about all these decisions later because the opposition is not present in institutions. They made our city a safe place for criminals to live in and their capital. This is why we must offer citizens solutions and an opportunity for change," Oreg said.

Speaking on how the opposition will run i the city, the vice-president of the Movement said that she deeply believed that the citizens of Novi Sad expected the opposition to run as part of a single bloc, because the goal was to achieve the best possible result and that anyone who ran in the elections was a potential partner for cooperation and not a rival.
