Belgrade University Prorector Ratko Ristic said on July 18 that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's visit to Serbia was scheduled by Tilman Kuban, an MP in the Bundestag and until recently a football manager.

Ristic told BETA that the main purpose of Scholz's visit was to compel Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to operationalize the realization of the Jadar Project.

"The fact that Scholz's visit was arranged by Tilman Kuban an insufficiently educated MP of the Bundestag who until recently dealt in the sale of young football players in Germany's lower leagues says something. Serbia is facing extreme pressure from the European bureaucratic nomenclature which is devoted to the green agenda... Vucic is accepting to be part of the globalist green agenda at the expense of his own people, for his own lucrative and banal political reasons," the professor said.

"Rio Tinto does not have a single lithium mine in the world and it is very experienced when it comes to iron, copper and gold, but they have had nothing to do with lithium so far. The Jadar Project is supposed to be their big experiment. You cannot but ask yourself why the authorities in Serbia are agreeing to expose citizens to a risky experiment, when we have already established that the best quality underground drinking water reserves in western Serbia, from Macva to Podrinje are at risk," Ristic said, adding that Serbia's top biologists who had even worked for Rio Tinto had said that the Jadar Project was too dangerous and should be not be realized.
