Representatives of the We - The Power of the People movement led by Branimir Nestorovic departed for Moscow on Aug. 25, where they will attend the International Municipal Forum of the BRICS group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).

The movement announced that MPs Branimir Nestorovic, Branko Lukic and Aleksandar Pavic, as well as University of Belgrade's Faculty of Forestry professor Ratko Ristic, one of the most prominent opponents of lithium mining in Serbia, will attend the Forum at the invitation of the Russian authorities.

The Forum is taking place on Aug. 27-28, with the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin's administration and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and with the help of Russian state agency Rossotrudnichestvo and the City of Moscow government, says the news release.

According to the Forum website, it is an important platform for exchanging experiences and ideas among representatives of BRICS regional and municipal governments, and also serves to build efficient business communication with entrepreneurs from Russia and other partner countries.

In the December 2023 general election, Nestorovic's movement won 4.7 percent of votes, and 8.1 percent in the elections for the Belgrade City Assembly held in June this year.
