The rebalancing of the state budget will make Serbia’s economic collapse obvious, leaving the people to continue paying the highest prices and levies in the region, Democratic Party MP Dragana Rakic said on Sept. 23.
In an interview for the Nova daily, Rakic said that Serbia’s wages and pensions are the lowest in Europe – a result of the current regime’s skewed priorities.
“It’s shocking that the regime plans to spend 17 billion euros on the 2027 Expo while 68,179 of our citizens are on [hospital] waiting lists, some of whom have been waiting more than eight years for surgery,” the MP concluded
