Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said on Oct. 9 that Montenegrin gangs use Belgrade for their showdowns and that “every village” in Montenegro “has its own organized criminal group.”

In a guest appearance on Pink TV, the minister added that Serbia has severed the “tentacles of Montenegro’s organized crime groups” resulting in an absence of mafia murders over the past few years.

“My knowledge of Montenegro’s geography isn’t the best since I’m not from that country, but every village there has its own organized criminal group, and I’ve never heard of those villages in my life,” Dacic said.

The minister added that as long as Radoje Zvicer – the suspected leader of the Kavac Clan – is at large, there is a possibility that he may be planning the assassination of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
