The vice-president of the New Democratic Party of Serbia, Predrag Marsenic, assessed on Dec. 25 that a transitional government would be the only solution to the current political crisis in the Serbia, and that the elections that have so far been directed by the Serbian Progressive Party were the source of the problem.
“The New Democratic Party of Serbia was among the first to publicly raise the issue of the forming of a transitional government with the task of preparing free and democratic elections. The condition for the start of talks with the authorities is their accepting the idea about the transitional government,” Marsenic said, as quoted by the party in the announcement.
“(Serbian President) Aleksandar Vucic has stated that he did not accept the transitional government concept, but that same man earlier promised that he would defend the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija like a wolf, and he is now behaving like a rabbit,” Marsenic stated.
