Serbian Government (BETAPHOTO/NENAD PETROVIC/)
The time has come for everyone who is against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s regime – be they university students, educators, lawyers or farmers – to unite in demanding that the country’s current crisis be resolved via an interim government, the NADA coalition announced on Feb. 19.
Comprising the New Democratic Party of Serbia and the Movement for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Serbia, the coalition explained that said interim government would have one sole purpose: to, within six months’ time, “finally” create the conditions for free and democratic general elections to be held in the country.
“Unless this demand is met, no other demands can truly be fulfilled either,” NADA concluded in its statement.
