Presidents of the opposition League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina - Vojvodinians and the Democratic Union of Vojvodina Hungarians, Bojan Kostres and Aron Conka respectively, on March 12 called on their members and supporters to attend the student protest scheduled for March 15 in Belgrade.
"Along with students, Serbian citizens are also, due to the actions of the undemocratic regime's corruptive hydra, practically forced to seek justice in the streets. Vucic, Vojvodina is Serbia too. See you on Saturday," Kostres and Conka said in a joint statement.
They warned Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic not to instigate incidents and urged "the regime" to show maximum restraint. "Also, we believe it is high time opposition political parties started cooperating on the subject of improving electoral conditions, as well as on the forming of an interim government of experts, which would ensure normal and professional information by the media, legal functioning of institutions, and the holding of fair and democratic elections," Kostres and Conka said.
