The Kosovo police said in a press release that it had arrested three suspects in war crimes against civilians during the war in Kosovo in 1998-99 on April 21.

The suspects B. T. and N. C. were first located and apprehended at two different locations in Lipljan. In continued operational activity the third suspect, M.I., was also located and arrested in Pristina.

The Kosovo police statement specified that the suspects had engaged in mistreating, beating and physically and psychologically torturing ethnic Albanian detainees while working as prison guards or clerks in the prison in Pristina and the Corrections Center in Lipljan.

The Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija said in a press release that the new wave of arrests of Serbs under false pretenses of war crimes and on the second day of the greatest Orthodox Christian holiday -- Easter, displayed Pristina's desperation and the anti-Serb orientation of Albin Kurti, who wants to mask his political failures with attacks on Serbs.
