Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that he will visit the U.S. in early May, that he will meet with "all the prominent" members of the ruling Republican Party and that he believes he will have an opportunity to talk with U.S. President Donald Trump "two or three times."

Vucic told Informer TV in the evening on April 24 that he had been invited to attend a meeting of the Republican National Committee at the beginning of May and that he had gotten "final confirmation" of meetings "with all the important Republicans."

"I think I will have the opportunity to also talk with President Trump at least two or three times over the course of two or three days," said Vucic.

Vucic confirmed that he would attend the Victory Day Parade in Moscow on May 9, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe.
