State public broadcaster Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS) did not broadcast its regular morning program on April 29, a day after the protesting students had unblocked RTS buildings in Belgrade, while the morning news edition had been pretaped.

On April 14, protesting students launched blockades of RTS buildings in the Takovska Street in the city center and Kosutnjak, a park-forest and urban neighborhood of Belgrade, which they ended in the afternoon on April 28, when their demand was met. Namely, they demanded publishing of new calls for application for members of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM).

According to unofficial information, an email has been sent to the RTS staff informing them of planned cleaning, sanitizing and pest control measures in the TV premises, and also stating they will be notified when they can return to work.

RTS has not yet issued any statement as to when it plans to resume its regular program.
