Serbian Radical Party leader Vojislav Seselj said on June 6 that the current political crisis in Serbia could be resolved through a snap general election and added that it would be good if the vote took place in December.

He told Pink TV that Radical party representatives supported the idea of calling an early election and saw it as a chance to win seats in the national parliament.
"This situation needs to be cleared up. All these traitors will be beaten in elections and we Radicals are hoping that it would be a chance for us to be a parliamentary party. A National Assembly without the Serbian Radicals is no good," said Seselj.

The students blockading universities, on behalf of all the students who are protesting nationwide, announced on May 5 that they demanded the calling of a snap general election.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that he will "give early elections" when preparations for the international Expo 2027 exhibition are completed.
