A number of Serbian nationals who were in Israel when the conflict with Iran started, have been evacuated from this country, according to a statement by Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut, issued on June 17.
In the statement, Macut said that the Government was continuing to take necessary measures to ensure safe evacuation of the Serbian nationals still remaining in the affected areas.
“The Government is closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures to ensure safety of the Serbian nationals who are currently in Israel and Iran,” it is said in the statement.
On June 14, the Serbian Foreign Ministry advised Serbia’s citizens against travelling to Israel or Iran due to the escalating conflict between the two countries.
