Local Elections in Serbia, June 2 2024 (BETAPHOTO/MILOS MISKOV)
Serbia may just see snap elections by the end of the year, the NIN weekly wrote in its latest edition.
According to the magazine, although the regime has been refusing for months to call extraordinary parliamentary elections, the vote is still an option being discussed by the top brass of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.
The weekly further claimed that two possible timeframes are in the running: mid-October, likely the 12th, or December.
Should the government decide on an autumn vote, the announcement would have to occur by late August or early September, since the law envisages a minimum of 45 days for campaigning.
