Members of the Serbian Progressive Party will no longer retreat when attacked, as demonstrated in Vrbas and Backa Palanka, and assailants will never enter Progressive party offices, the ruling party’s leader and former prime minister Milos Vucevic said on Aug. 13.

“There is no room for compromise. Don’t attack us, we’ll defend our people and offices even more resolutely than before,” Vucevic stated in an unscheduled address from the Progressives’ party headquarters.

According to him, Progressives’ supporters “will no longer retreat” and will defend their offices “absolutely everywhere.”

“Every single one of us will fight to protect what is ours. We’ve never called on our supporters to attack the offices of others. It’s the others that are committing violence,” Vucevic concluded.
