Lavrov, Vucic (BETAPHOTO/MILOS MISKOV/EV)
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on August 25 that he had had a long and friendly telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, focusing on bilateral relations, economic cooperation and the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
On his Instagram, Vucic wrote that they had discussed bilateral relations, agreed to further enhance economic cooperation and engage in joint projects, and also had analyzed political relations, with the aim of further improving communication and cooperation in various international forums, organizations and institutions.
“Also, we reviewed the situation, primarily political developments in the region, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the crisis that has been caused from the outside, through constant attacks on Republika Srpska (RS),” the Serbian president said.
Vucic added he “informed Lavrov about the situation in Serbia, particularly in Kosovo where attempts have been made to expel the Serbs, as well as about the silence of most of the international community.” He added: “We agreed to continue working on further development of our relations in different areas.”
