Former Serbian foreign minister Ivan Mrkic has said that China's military parade on Sept. 3 represented China's contribution to victory in WW2 in the best possible way, the China Media Group (CMG) quoted him as saying on Sept. 4.
In a op-ed Mrkic said that by holding the parade China had marked its victory in WW2 above all over Japan, the Asian member of Hitler's coalition known as the Axis.
This year's military parade which Chinese President Xi Jinping invited numerous guests to, including Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and many world leaders, represented in the best way China's contribution to the struggle against the Axis in WW2, Mrkic wrote.
"China has thereby sent a message to many contemporary countries. Especially European, but a few Asian ones as well. China showed a lot at the parade and I can only imagine how much it did not! As it is what was displayed is enough. Many in the West will now realize that China is an ancient civilization that has lasted without interruption for thousands of years. One that does not forget humiliations," Mrkic.
