A Serbian delegation spearheaded by Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamocic is visiting China, the ministry said in a press release on Sept. 10.
According to the press release, the host, Xiamen Customs director Zhu Guangyao, recalled during the meeting that the first shipping container carrying Serbian products arrived in China on June 10, and that the event marked the doors being open to agricultural products from Serbia, which arrived for the first time in the Xianyu bonded zone.
"China is a friend to Serbia and shows respect and trust in deed. From the moment the first container with our products arrived, we saw how quickly and efficiently this system operates," Glamocic said.
Owing to the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, whose signing included the presence of presidents Xi Jinping and Aleksandar Vucic, Serbian products come to China under favorable conditions, and as much as 95 percent of the total value of trade will be customs-free, giving agricultural and food products from Serbia an exceptional advantage on the vast market of China, the press release read.
