The intention of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to hold rallies over the weekend in support of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija is a gesture of extreme cynicism, hypocrisy and of the perverted and perfidious treatment of Serbia’s southern province, the People’s Movement of the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija – Fatherland stated on Oct. 10.

In the statement, they accused Vucic of having surrendered, during the 13 years in power, “everything with even a scent of the Republic of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija, to Pristina.” “By accepting the Brussels agreement, he dismantled the institutions of the Serbian state, such as the judiciary, police, telecommunications, energy and the rest. The president of Serbia, via his Serb List, has enabled the forming of the army of Kosovo,” the Fatherland movement stated further.

They recollected that the Brussels agreement, like the Franco-German plan and the Ohrid agenda based on the realization of that plan, are against the Constitution of Serbia and Resolution 1244 of the U.N. Security Council. “Presently, when Albin Kurti is hijacking the remaining institutions of the Serbian state in the southern Serbian province, he is doing so exactly on the basis of the Franco-German plan. If Aleksandar Vucic still wants, even after such unprecedented treachery, to do something for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, he should have the Serbian parliament annul both the Brussels agreement and the Franco-German plan,” stated the movement.
